# Other AI assistants

> How to add Pixalate's MCP server to MCP clients other than Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, with the configuration key each client uses.

Pixalate's MCP connectors work with any assistant that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in. The setup is the same everywhere: add one URL, then sign in with your Pixalate account in the browser.

```
https://mcp.pixalate.com/mcp
```

Name the server `pixalate-mcp`. For browser sign-in, leave any API key, token or header field empty. To use an API key instead, see [Sign in with an API key](/mcp/access#sign-in-with-an-api-key). If the client asks for a transport, choose Streamable HTTP (sometimes shown as HTTP).

For Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, follow the full guides: [Claude](/mcp/connect-claude), [ChatGPT](/mcp/connect-chatgpt), [Cursor](/mcp/connect-cursor).

## Clients you set up in the app

Each client name links to that vendor's own instructions.

## Clients you set up in a configuration file

The URL is the same for every client. What changes is the key it goes under. Putting the right URL under the wrong key is the most common reason a setup doesn't connect.

### Common configuration shapes

#### Most clients

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "pixalate-mcp": {
      "url": "https://mcp.pixalate.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

#### VS Code and GitHub Copilot

Note `servers` rather than `mcpServers`, and the explicit `type`.

```json
{
  "servers": {
    "pixalate-mcp": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.pixalate.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

#### Windsurf

Note `serverUrl` rather than `url`.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "pixalate-mcp": {
      "serverUrl": "https://mcp.pixalate.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

## Some clients only use tools in agent mode

Some assistants, including GitHub Copilot, only offer MCP tools in their agent mode. In other chat modes a correctly connected server shows no tools. Switch to agent mode before you ask a Pixalate question.

## If your client isn't listed

It should still work if it supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth. Give it the URL, choose OAuth if it asks how to sign in, and leave key and token fields empty. If the browser sign-in never starts, check your client's documentation for OAuth support for remote servers. Tell [support@pixalate.com](mailto:support@pixalate.com) which client you use and we'll look at adding it here.

## Check that it works

Ask your assistant:

> What Pixalate reports can I run?

A list of report names means you're connected and your account has access. If you see no Pixalate tools, see [I connected but I see no Pixalate tools](/mcp/faq#i-connected-but-i-see-no-pixalate-tools).
