Amazon DSP

Turn on Pixalate pre-bid invalid traffic filtering in your Amazon DSP line items.

If you buy media through Amazon DSP, you can apply Pixalate’s pre-bid invalid traffic (IVT) filtering directly in the platform. Filtering works on Amazon owned-and-operated and third-party supply worldwide, and it keeps your line items off supply that Pixalate deems invalid. It covers both general invalid traffic (GIVT) and sophisticated invalid traffic (SIVT).

You don’t need to download or load any Pixalate data feeds to use it. You turn it on per line item.

What you can filter

Amazon DSP shows Pixalate’s options in a Pixalate section of the line item’s targeting settings, under Fraud and invalid traffic. You can choose any combination of:

OptionWhat it excludes
IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and user agents identified as IVTImpressions from IP addresses and user agents that Pixalate has flagged
Devices identified as fraudulent or invalidImpressions delivered to device IDs that Pixalate has flagged, on streaming TV, mobile or web supply
Apps and domains identified as IVTImpressions on apps and websites that Pixalate has flagged
Apps removed from the Google Play or Apple App Store in the last six monthsImpressions on delisted mobile apps

Amazon controls the labels and layout of its interface, so the wording you see may differ.

Turn on Pixalate filtering

  1. In Amazon DSP, open the line item you want to protect, or create a new one.
  2. Go to the line item’s settings and find the Pixalate targeting section.
  3. Under Fraud and invalid traffic, select the options you want to apply.
  4. Save the line item.

If you manage line items through the Amazon Ads API instead of the interface, Pixalate filtering is set on the line item’s targeting. Field names and the line item types that support it can change between API versions, so check Amazon’s current Amazon Ads API documentation for your version.

Pixalate filtering in Amazon DSP is configured and run by Amazon. For help with the Amazon DSP interface or API, contact your Amazon Ads representative. For questions about Pixalate’s IVT detection, contact support@pixalate.com.
